Despite his
own claims to the contrary, a parolee who spent 14 years in an Indiana prison
apparently still has a problem with cops, and it is about to land him in even
more trouble.
While
working at a local McDonald's, the man decided to spit in the breakfast
sandwich that a police officer ordered via the drive-through. Unfortunately for him, the Herald-Palladium
reports that the officer decided to bite into the sandwich while still waiting
at the drive-through and discovered the disgusting surprise.
The culprit has been arrested and is facing felony charges, which of course won't look good for his parol.

Travel
agents are having a difficult time presently competing directly with cruise
lines. Unlike during normal economic
times, the cruise lines are trying to keep their ships full by offering cruise deals directly to consumers. The same deals
the agents are able to offer.
But where
agents can compete is as aggregators of the best deals.
There may be a lot of cruise deals out there, but most people don't know where to find them, or how to find the best package for them or their families. Travel agents can provide that service, and in turn get to make the bookings, even if they can't offer better deals over going directly to the cruise lines.

A Boston women is facing
assault charges after hurling a handful of change at a bus driver who told her
she didn't have enough to ride, reports the Associated Press.
When the bus
driver told her to get off the bus after she refused to pay the full fare, the
women threw a handful of coins in his face and said that was all she had.
Police were called in to remove the irate woman, who failed to show up for her scheduled arraignment.
Oddly enough, she is being charged with "assault with a dangerous weapon." It is true that coins to the face can hurt, but labeling them "dangerous" may be taking things a bit far.

If one New York hotel is
really succeeding in creating headlines for itself it has to be the Hotel
Pennsylvania. That may have a lot to do
with their eye-catching tagline - "The World's Most Popular Hotel."
Well, now
the Hotel Pennsylvania is getting attention for offering a free night during
Independence Day. Of course, you have to
book three nights to get that fourth night free, but it's still a pretty good
deal during the summer and during a big holiday weekend.
And what better place to spend Independence Day than the city that never sleeps? Rest assured, Independence Day in New York City is itself a treat that is well worth the expense of travel and accommodations, especially if the accommodations come with a special perk.

Locals
living near the famous Saratoga Horse Race Course in upstate New York were shocked to find a different
kind of animal trying to make his way onto the track recently.
Seems a very
large moose from nearby wildlife preserves decided to give urban life a shot,
and was spotted trotting through town before showing up at the track.
Police kept curious onlookers away from the moose, while wildlife officers were called in to tranquilize the visitor and move him back to his proper environment.

Sahyadri Hospital has become the first hospital in India to obtain
a CereTom portable
scanner capable of performing CT scans without moving patients to a
special area of the facility.
Officials
said the CereTom scanner is going to revolutionize the way neuro-surgeries are
done at the hospital, as it already has at a handful of other hospitals in
Europe and the US.
The CereTom has already proved its great worth at other facilities by enabling doctors to get critical information regarding the condition of their patients without further risking their health by moving them around.

The boy
tried to give the puppy a bath in the toilet after the animal got muddy. Of
course, a toddler giving anyone a bath is a bad idea. Rather than rinsing the
animal, the child thought it best to pull the flush lever, and away the puppy
went.
The boy's mother was sure the puppy was dead, but plumbers using specialized camera equipment were able to find him stuck in a pipe about 20 yards away from the house.
